Melissa Tom & Sweet Baby Angel Face

Happy Monday, friends…unlike Garfield, I love Mondays!!

It’s a fresh start to the week and the opportunity to make it a great one!

Allow me to introduce myself to those that do not know me as Tiff’s best friend, Melissa.  Tiffany and I have been best of friends since the 7th grade lunch table. It’s there we realized that we are both ridiculously funny and that we would much rather combine forces than compete for the laughs.  Our friendship has had many bonding moments, vacations, road trips, love, loss and plain old F.U.N.

Tiff and Liss

Like an old tree, through it all we have always had each other’s backs and have shown up truly like no other friend. Have I mentioned our laughter?!  Let’s just say that if we had a dollar for every laugh cackle we’ve shared we would give away free portraits to all of Bucks County!

We have randomly talked about me contributing to Appletini throughout the years and as we met over margaritas and tacos (our favorite) we devised a plan.  A plan for me to begin blogging and sharing bits of my life and experiences as a mother.  Besides….let’s be honest, it was only a matter of time until I was added to the Appletini Payroll!

Mother is a new title that I am wearing happily and proudly, right alongside wife, daughter and friend. On December 4, 2016 our Sweet Baby Angel Face blessed our lives and changed it forever.  I am enjoying all of the challenges and copious joy that my baby boy has brought into my world thus far.

Sweet Baby Angel Face and Proud Momma

I have embarked on a new journey in life on so many levels.

Before that momentous day I found myself always busy either in the garden, kitchen or simply organizing and decorating around the house.  I have always been an avid nature lover, constantly discovering new trails and parks. My husband (more on him later) is a musician, we have always shared a love for live music from the moment we met.  I love to cook and create new recipes, making baby food is on the top of my to-do list.

I have a passion for people and plants and am currently attending Bucks County Community College studying Floral Design.  Flowers are simply, beautiful and a great way to celebrate any milestone; I am always willing to create for any event…..just ask. I have completed a certificate in Horticulture Therapy from Temple University and have volunteered for years at Magee Rehab, they have a wonderful Hort. Therapy program and greenhouse in Center City, it is very rewarding to share this alternative healing, especially in a hospital setting.

Stop to smell the roses

I am living my life like it is golden (Thanks Jill Scott) and am simply a lover of life, ready and willing to soak it all up and participate fully! Please come along with me while I share things that I enjoy and discover new things as a new mom.
