Wedding Portraits | Pink & Gold Styled Wedding Shoot

Well it all started when we were little girls. One day she walked out of her closet and unfolded a torn magazine page and said, “this is the dress!”   There before me was an advertisement for a porcelain doll in a stunning wedding dress and as time went by and summer days in the backyard happened we slowly planned the flowers, the shoes, the hair, the dream groom and every last detail.  It was one of those amazing kid conversations where the possibilities were endless, who would have known years later those little girls would come together to plan a stylized wedding shoot and make it happen.

Are you wondering what the heck a stylized wedding shoot is?  Well it’s something fun us photographers do to expand our creativity and allows us to learn along the way.  Sometimes it just feels good to set up a shoot with your own vision and just capture to create, try new things and have some no pressure fun.  I have been itching to create a stylized wedding shoot, often times on a wedding day we are a little rushed. I wanted to take a bride out into the forest and play, bend her, twist her and try some new poses.  Wedding gowns are just so beautiful and one of the most fabulous garments us women ever get to wear, I wanted to celebrate that.  I always wanted to tell the whole story, getting ready, the first look, the celebration, and of course…the wedding portraits.  I (along with my best gal pals) love to party plan and create these concepts and having the opportunity to collaborate with my team and some fabulous vendors we really pulled together an amazing session.  I could not have done this without all of the Bride’s ideas and push to create, thee amazing Melissa from A Sugar Magnolia, Heather – my goto craft master, my husband and the groom for all the heavy lifting and letting us girls, just be girls.  We do realize that most guys would have run for the hills.

Usually with a styled session finding the perfect models are the toughest part, fortunately not for me!  It was a honor to pull this session together with one of my oldest girlfriends and her adorable family and I am so excited that she will have these wedding portraits forever.   My dear, as a Mom you shine, as a bride you are STUNNING and as a friend, you are amazing!  I just love these guys to pieces and am so glad this all came together better than we dreamed!

eeeekkkkkkk, we did it!
Cheers, Pals

I couldn’t have done it without these amazing wedding vendors, thank you so much for all the help!
