Back in November two of our dearest friends, Bobby & Keely, got married. They wanted to celebrate their wedding in style. Speakeasy style!
Tiff collaborated with the bride and designed these custom Speakeasy Save the Dates. I love the peacock feather detail and the fact that they were post cards. As soon as I received mine in the mail I ran to mark my calendar. I knew this speakeasy wedding was one I wasn’t missing.
A Roaring 1920’s event? UH… AWESOME!
Speakeasy attire? OH-KAY! No need to twist MY arm. I could not wait to play dress up! This Save the Date got me psyched!
I was really looking forward to see how the creative couple would pull off their Mad Men Wedding Theme. Their Save the Dates set the tone and the rest of the details matched perfectly!
Don’t worry, I’m not just going to show you the awesome Save the Date… I’ll show you some of the wedding details too! 😉
…
It was a blast getting ready for the wedding. We all channeled our inner 1920’s style and dressed to impress. We definitely looked the part and couldn’t wait to celebrate our friends’ wedding in speakeasy style!
The wedding was held in a gorgeous estate. There was speakeasy charm everywhere.
As soon as the ceremony started you began seeing the 1920’s wedding details. Like the bridesmaid’s fans. What an adorable twist on the traditional bouquet. The maid of honor carried all white while the bridesmaid’s each held a peacock fan. The were FANtastic! (sorry, I couldn’t help my self.)
The groom and groomsmen all looked dapper in their gray suits and bow ties. The bride… absolutely stunning in her fitted cap sleeved wedding dress. A feather fascinator finished off her lovely vintage look.
The couple was simply gorgeous and could have easily just slipped out of Downton Abbey.
The seating charts were aged windows with the names of the guests in the panes. I thought this was clever and aided to the wedding’s vintage-y feel.
Talk about sweet favors… The couple gave everyone attending a jar of saltwater taffy. They incorporated their theme with a peacock feather on the tag. Have I ever mentioned I love edible favors? 😉
The reception rooms were simple but elegant.
I’m not a smoker but I did adore the cigarette girl. She was adorable in her flapper style!
Another fun wedding detail was the Great Gatsby-esque mustaches. They all started at the bar but by the end of the night I’m sure everyone had a turn wearing at least one! Mustaches-on-a-stick… YES please!!
The Mad Men wedding theme was so much fun. It was great seeing all the guests dress up in their 1920’s attire. By the end of the night everyone was channeling their inner Gatsby. We almost forgot what decade we were actually in!
And to think… it all started with a simple Save the Date! But I must say, I’m so glad it did. If it hadn’t, I may NOT have saved the date. I won’t even think about how disappointed I would have been if I hadn’t been able to make this special wedding. That’s why Save the Dates are important gang… so your guests can mark their calendars and keep the dates open. Especially if you’re marrying out-of-town. Which for us, this wedding was.
Bobby & Keely, your wedding was classic. You make a beautiful couple and we are all so glad we got the chance to celebrate your I Dos! We love you and couldn’t be happier. Thanks again for an awesome party! The memories will last forever!
xx,
Heather
The details of this wedding were beautiful and the whole wedding was SO MUCH FUN! And the bridesmaid fan…Hahahahaha it was FANtastic! {I like that one Heather} What an amazing wedding Keely and Rob planned! It was very traditional yet so unique that I’ll never forget it! It really felt like a night in the 20’s! Oh and the Bride, you looked stunning doll! LOVED your whole look!!
And how about that shot of us on the car! SOLID GOLD! love that shot! 😉 Ayo STEVE…you wanna be my second shooter????
