Hadley in one lucky lady, she has one of the most creative Mom’s on the block.  When Heather told me we were having a Fairy First Birthday party, I asked where do I sign up?  Heather had a long list of craft projects and my girls and I were happy to help.  We all love to craft and we’re so darn creative 😉

As Grandma Rizzo always says “we should go into business”  😉  So if you need us to design your party, we’re for hire!  After this party we can now say we specialize in fairy head pieces, tutu making, gnome kits, mystical marshmallow and Barbie cakes!  …and then some.

We had an absolute blast creating all of this stuff and Heather’s planning was amazing!

There are a lot of images with this post so let’s talk about it as we go…first up is the food.  Hadley’s Mom had a spread fit for a flock of fairies!

Lady bug apples

Tissue paper pom-poms.  If you are looking for an inexpensive and easy way to decorate…make these.  The tissue paper is from the dollar store, $2 to make these with tissue to spare!

The mantel was decorated and ready for gifts.  We here at Appletini Photography LOVE the portrait I shot high on the mantel for all to see.

To get into Fairy land, you had to open the door knob.  The kids LOVED this!

All guest were greeted by transformation station.  The little girls were transformed into fairies complete with head pieces, wings and tutus.  And the little boys were transformed into gnomes complete with hats and beards.

We made the tutus from netting and ribbon, very inexpensive and easy to do!

The gnome outfits were just felt cut and glued, at $0.49 a sheet each set only cost $0.98….the kids LOVED it.

Even us “big fairies” got head pieces….which was a tricky but fun craft project.

What’s a fairy without a ribbon wand?  Great idea Heather!

There was a drink station, coloring station, potting station, water guns and tattoos…

Aunt Tiff made the s’more sticks.   Super easy, dip the marshmallow in melted chocolate then in crushed graham cracker.

FAVORTIE PROJECT ALERT!!  Heather and I were running some last minute errands the day before the bash and found these stumps on the side of the road.  We added a little fabric (that we already had) and twine and instant cuteness.

Look at this cake Hadley’s Mom made her, I told you she was a lucky little lady.

and she loved eating it…

Sharing with Daddy, so sweet…

After a quick hose down bath, it was time for presents!

me with the fairy princess…love her!
