Just incase you missed the memo… Monster recently turned FOUR!!
Right before my pretty girl’s birthday I posted and shared her previous birthday photo shoots. (If you missed it click here) I explained how every year we treat her with her very own Appletini photo session. She loves it! ALMOST as much as her Mommy (and Aunt Tiff)!
This year’s birthday theme was sports. All Monster’s idea. I adore the fact that my little girl wanted a sports party. Proof that princess can be athletes! They can be anything they want!! (a lesson I sneak in any chance I get)
This week I will be sharing all of the birthday goodness. Starting with her amazing sports themed photo shoot! This is my favorite shoot by far. Monster had so much fun!
We grabbed the birthday girl, rounded up some sports equipment, dug in the toy box for her pink baseball glove and headed out. Aunt Tiff had the great idea to take her to our old stompin’ grounds… our High School! It ended up being the perfect spot for a sporty photo shoot.
We started at the track.
I love how Tiff strategically placed the 4. Very clever! She’s obviously done this before 🙂 !!
After running on the track, our track star took her moves to the football field.
Her end zone dance was pretty legit!
And what fun is it if you don’t get to run up and down the bleachers??
Bench break!! Those bleachers were exhausting!!
WAIT a second!! We didn’t take a second to talk about her adorable little outfit!! I wanted something sporty but still a little girly. Something fit for my Sporty Sweetheart! I wanted something a little ‘A Leauge of Their Own”. I couldn’t find anything I liked in the store so I grabbed a skirt, shirt and socks I thought would work and sewed up this little dress, added some paint and VIOLA!!! An sweet little sporty dress. I do think it’s worth a mention that it was my FIRST time behind the sewing machine. Not too shabby, huh??!! (who knows maybe I’ll write a post about it some time)
OKAY, back to the shoot…
Here’s my little soccer star…
Looking just as cute on the basketball court too…
We are gonna work on that free throw!
After shooting hoops we took the little All Star to the baseball field. This was her favorite!
She loves a little dirt up her skirt… and on her shirt… and in the air…
I’m glad this was our last stop. She was one giant dust ball when we left. But it was sooo worth it. These images are pretty fantastic and was a perfect way to get us into the sporty spirit. Was a great kick-off to one helluva forth birthday party. A sports birthday like no other!! Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing all the birthday details soon!
Swing by tomorrow to see what special gift SuperDAD and I got her for her birthday! I know you’re curious!! 🙂
See ya Tuesday!
Heather
