As most of you know, Appletini went Unplugged  for a few days.  It was nice being off the grid and putting all work matters aside for a bit.  Tiffany and I have been working overtime and deserved a little break. Well I will be the first to admit… I ENJOYED EVERY SECOND OF IT!  It was a great being able to focus all my energy on my family and even found some time to myself.  That’s right… mama got a mani, took 2 baths, napped and I even got in a few chapters of my book!

I thought today I’d share with you some of the fun I was having while Unplugged… You know, so you can see  I was spending my time away from you wisely! 😉  You will have to excuse the photo quality though.  Because I was on a mini break, so was my camera.  I love my iPhone and think it takes a fairly decent photo. Professional grade… NO, but better than my point and shoot.  So while they are not A Grade, they aren’t too bad but not my best work!!

Jim and I have season passes to Sesame Place so we spent an evening there.  Because we are local, and smart, we knew not to go too early.  We waited until about 6:00 and then took our little princess to “Elmo’s House”!  Every time we visit it has been too chilly for the water park.. but not THIS visit.  It was her first time exploring the mini pools and testing out the water slides.

Here is her first trip down the Ducky Slide.  She loved it!

The day after Sesame, we took a little trip to Belmar.   Hadley saw pictures of Aunt Tiff and I at the beach when we were location scouting and was very upset we went without her.  I knew Jim and I would have to take her soon and while we were Unplugged was the perfect time!  She had a blast digging, finding shells and sand crabs, sitting in the hole daddy dug for her and playing at the playground.  The next day she asked to go back.  We will definitely be going back soon.

We also spent some time with sweet little Aiden.  He is just way too cute to stay away from!  Jim and I wanted to do something nice for the new parents so went over and cooked them dinner.  Steak, potatoes, fried mushrooms… even brought dessert!  We had a nice visit and I got plenty of snuggle time in!  Hadley did too!  She was great holding the baby and I think it was great practice for the soon-to-be big sister.  🙂 photoI think she loves him…photo5Gosh, could he be any cuter?? photo4

Besides riding water slides, playing in the sand and snuggling babies… Jim and I started “baby prep”.  Pulling out all of the fun newborn gear we have been saving since Hadley was born.  We have been meaning to start the preparation sooner but being Unplugged gave us the perfect opportunity!

Like I said, I had a great time being Unplugged. Enjoyed the few days off and took advantage of every second.  I feel rejuvenated and am ready to get back to work!!

So many exciting things happening here at Appletini!  Can’t wait to get them going!  Stay tuned to keep up to date with all the awesomeness we have in the works!

xx,

Heather
