Oh Hello There! We are officially Plugged back in!! Heather and I are well rested and looking to take this baby of ours to the next level. We have enjoyed our much needed rest and the dreams of where I want to take my career have flooded in. I am so excited to be on this journey and looking forward to the future!!! One nice thing about unplugging is it gave me some time to get this construction under way!!
Remember how we announced we are under construction? We have finished our first and most intensive project – the floors!! I can officially say that I have installed flooring and I absolutely love the results. The room feels so much better and I love working in my new office. We wanted to pop into with an update.
We started by getting rid of the nasty, dusty, old carpet!!
Getting rid of the carpet was easy but prying these off the floor took some work and patience.
The steps! We are 50% done here. They are uncovered and I am happy to report they have the caps installed already. I can’t wait to paint and dress them up! I had to take a picture of Dave on his hard work. Bless his sweet heart for pulling out all of those staples 😉 I love him 😉

We laid down the water barrier and got to work. I was really good at wiggling the pieces together. If you have ever installed a floor you know exactly what I mean by “wiggle”.
David and I have no clue at all how to install a new floor and forget about cutting all of those 90 degree angels for trim. This is our dear friend Josh who helped us install the floors and trimmed the room and even installed trim in our upstairs room. I could not be more thankful to him. Without Josh this would have never gotten done. He is so talented and home improvements and so good at teaching us what to do. He is the best kind of perfectionist and put so much love into these floors. Josh – thank you, thank you, thank you. We are so grateful!! Xoxo, Tiff and Dave

Yup we are adding a project….lucky number 11. As we were clearing the room and getting ready to install the floors I opened my “junk closet” with a large pile of junk in my hand and realized “uh oh” this is also a part of the room, needs new flooring and by the looks of it is time for a cleaning. I organized, cleaned everything out and moved it upstairs to another awaiting junk closet…lol….but seriously. I can’t wait to turn this into a space for supplies and props.
