A few weeks ago, I’m not sure if you noticed or not, but I was MIA for 7 days! I took a magical one week Disney Vacation! THAT’S RIGHT, ONE FULL WEEK IN DISNEY WORLD!!!
It. Was. Fantastic!
My Hadley Girl’s first trip to Disney World. Moments just don’t get more special than that! Besides Hadley, my vacation entourage included my dear husband, my fabulous in-laws, brothers, sister and cousins included and besides Hadley, 2 of the cutest kids ever! So that makes 9 adults and 3 kids under the age of 4. I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing group of people to spend my time in Disney World with!
We had a blast! So much fun, in fact, that I couldn’t NOT share some of my photos and favorite memories with you. As I’m sure you can imagine there were sooo many! We WERE in Disney after all!!! So I am going to share my vacation with you throughout 3 posts. Today’s will be a wrap up of some of the things we did, saw and places we went. Post #2 might possibly be my favorite, it’s called Pirates and Princesses but you’ll just have to wait to see what THAT’S all about. Plenty of cuteness though, I promise! The last post will be titled Places to Eat. I know, a little unexpected… but surprisingly enough Disney is packed full of deliciousness. SOOO MUCH GOOD FOOD, and I will share with you some of my faves!
Okay, but now it’s time for today’s post. Let’s get to it… My Disney Vacation….
We stayed at Saratoga Springs!
We didn’t stay at the “Resort & Spa” though. We stayed in the Treehouse Villas! They were pretty awesome. I liked how secluded we were.
The awesome view from our deck and a sneak peek inside…
If you’ve ever been to Disney, this bus probably looks familiar. They busses run about every 15 minutes and will take you to whatever park or resort you are headed to. The transportation is pretty convenient but I will warn you wherever you are going, you’ll want to leave early. And when I say early, I mean early-early! Especially if you have reservations.
One of the first rides I was able to go on was Spaceship Earth. You know, the one that is in the giant Epcot golf ball!
After, we enjoyed The Seas… the “Finding Nemo Ride” where you ride in a clam shell and follow Nemo through the ocean! The kids loved it!
Almost as much as they loved looking at the fish in the giant aquariums that greet you after the ride.
I love Magic Kingdom! When I think of Disney World, I think Magic Kingdom!! And you can’t visit Magic Kingdom without taking plenty of pictures of the castle!! 🙂
It’s a Small World… one of my favorites. It is one of the rides I look forward to most. I’m not sure why but Disney just isn’t Disney without it! Which may explain why there are so many photos from it in this post!!
Just another castle picture. This time at night. There is just something about that castle that screams ‘PHOTOGRAPH ME’!!
We spent our 4th of July in Disney! Lucky, I know! 😉
Here is my red, white & blue beauty…
We originally planned to watch fireworks in Magic Kingdom but didn’t give ourselves enough time to get there.
Remember what I said about leaving early?? That goes double for holidays!!
It was hot AND crowded but the firework and laser show was incredible!
OH LOOK… MORE CASTLE PHOTOS! haha! For the Fourth, it was lit up patriotically. Awesome, right?? …
As I’m sure you are already aware, Hadley is a huge fan of Mickey Mouse and his gang, so when she saw Pete’s Silly Sideshow we HAD to go in!
Minnie Mouse is Hadley’s favorite! SHE LOVES HER! So much, that she had to teach Minnie her signature ballet move. Do you see Minnie workin it in that last photo? Yeah, Hadley taught her that! She was so proud!
OH, and I’m pretty sure Minnie is Uncle Matt’s favorite too… 😉
After getting some quality time with some of her favorite characters, Hadley rode her first roller coaster… TWICE! Mommy was a little nervous, but she was tall enough, so I couldn’t say no. She went on with Daddy and if the park wasn’t closing we probably would have spent another hour there!!
YES! We made it to Hollywood Studio…
Can you guess where this was?? Honey I Shrunk the Kids, of course!!!! This playground was pretty awesome!
Disney Junior! Hadley’s favorite channel! We HAD to go in and watch the show…
Well, I must admit… I was able to get on more rides than I expected. You know, those easy ride-through rides. Not the ones I REALLY wanted to get on. This was the story of my life all week… But I was happy the other adults were able to enjoy some ‘real’ rides. Two of them being: Tower of Terror and Rockin’ Roller Coaster, which apparently was a wild ride! They rode twice! Thank goodness for Fast Passes!!!! 😉
Our vacation was fabulous. Watching the kid’s faces light up 100 times a day was priceless. I’m so glad we went and were able to experience it together. But BOY was it EXHAUSTING!!!! And I’m not just saying that because I was almost 8 months pregnant! I think everyone would agree. I know Hadley would…
Okay gang… hope you enjoyed reliving this amazing trip we had. Like I said, there will be 2 more Disney posts coming up. And like I said before, the next is my FAVORITE!! Stay tuned..
xx,
Heather
[…] you here because I tempted you yesterday about the loads of cuteness you could expect in this post?? Yes?? […]
