A few weeks back I had the honor of shooting a wedding with Kate Madell Photography.  Kate and I work together and she is an AWESOME wedding photographer in Philadelphia.  Weddings, wedding planning, wedding details, and wedding photography are all things that I love and Kate was so kind to let me tag along and shoot with her.  Documenting the biggest day of someone’s life takes practice and exposure and I jump at any opportunity to grow!  I really learned a lot about lighting, important shots to grab and the behind the scenes wedding fun.   The wedding was held at The World Cafe in Philadelphia and was fabulous.  The World Cafe is a really cool venue with a funky, ecliptic vibe.  It is a little bit of a dark venue which poses some photography challenges but it was good to have a challenge and put my flash to work.

I love some funky wedding shoes!!!

World Cafe has these great signs projected on the walls which were so fun to play with throughout the night.

and we have balcony…loved shooting from up there

One of my favorite moments at every wedding…the kiss…and after kiss

I thought this was a really unique guest book idea.  The couple framed their engagement photo with a metal mat, using the special pen guest can leave their impression.

Most of the night I worked the photo booth which is right up my ally because I am a total goof ball.  Trust me when I say, this crowd WORKED IT in this booth.  Kate had some awesome props, check out Kate Madell’s blog to see the images.

It wouldn’t be the World Cafe without some dancing…

Awesome wedding, thank you Kate!
