It’s happening! My love and I have filled in all the forms, taken all the classes and are officially approved and in search of our family! We’re ADOPTING!
It’s quite a ride but we are confident that we’re on the right path and look forward to bringing our family together. We have been matching for the last 6 weeks and have our fingers, toes and heart strings crossed on a couple sets of siblings. Yes, siblings!! After lots of research into adoption and careful consideration we decided to look for children a little older in the PA foster care system. The chances of being adopted begin to decrease over the age of 5 and sibling groups are often a little harder to place.
We decided to jump in where we felt we could help the most. We are blessed to be an Aunt and Uncle to many and we feel that we have lived that early childhood phase vicariously through family and friends. We want to give a home to an older set of kids that may be have a hard being placed simply due to their age. We are currently seeking siblings and hoping for one to be 7 or younger and no preference on the sibling’s age. We are open to gender, race, background, and trying to keep our hearts open to see what the universe blesses us with. I’ll keep you up to date on our progress and thank you in advance for your love, prayers and support. We’re doing it and this ride is so exciting!
