Did you know video slideshows are now included with every session?

2014 has been an incredible year so far! When the year started I knew it would be tough but I feel like this is the year to get my workflow and product offering in order. Along with being a professional photographer, I am also a small business owner. As all business owners can attest, its a lot of work. Love and passion help to build some of the biggest empires and is a key ingredient to growing a business. If you know me personally you know I could talk business all day long, I love it. I am always searching for new ways to change my business and get it just right. I often describe starting a business as a trying to solve a rubric cube, you have to keep turning until you get it just right then you can place it on the shelf and move onto the next puzzle.

As I was trying to putting together new pricing this year I became quickly overwhelmed, there is so many “options” to offer photography clients. Sheets, gallery wraps, CD of images, websites, etc. It can get confusing to determine what clients actually want between all the noise of other advertisers and groupon…lol. One day I sat down and really focused on not what I thought people wanted or I thought they would buy but what I wanted to deliver to my clients, what I wanted the Appletini experience to be like. Each session now gets 8 different things and the video slideshow is at the top of the list as one of my favorites.

I have been in love with photographic slideshows since I first seen them at a tradeshow 5 years ago. I don’t just capture images, my goal with each session is to tell a photographic story. The video slideshow helps me bring that story to life with music and movement. Now we are posting all of these video to YouTube and love the feedback I am receiving. These are just one of the keepsakes that come with all of my sessions, I feel with media moving more and more digital these are a great way for clients to share and archive their images.
