Top Reads for Personal Growth | Appletini PhotographyLet’s talk about Personal Growth

Over the past four months, I have read five books that have helped me grow more than I could have ever imagined. I guess you could categorize them all as “self-help books,” but they have helped me find my path and have made me realize what I deserve to get out of the life that I was given. I’ll be honest and say that I have had a lot of personal changes this past couple of months, but whether or not your life is picture-perfect or not, these books are worth the read.

I started off by reading You Are a Bad Ass by Jen Sincero

It truly does bring out your inner badass. This book really pushes you to do all the things you have put on the back burner and to do it for yourself because you deserve it.

Then I read You are a badass Every day and You are a Bad Ass at Money Making

by the same author and loved them. You are a Bad Ass at Money Making really pushes you to make those life-changing strides when it comes to the financial decisions of your life. Do you struggle with money in your everyday life or do you want to be comfortable and stress-free when it comes to money? If you’re done fighting internally about your finances, then this is the book for you. After I was done that series I started to read two books by Rachel Hollis,

Girl Wash Your Face and Girl Stop Apologizing.

Rachel Hollis’ books are great for young adults and mothers. Hollis is a mother herself and has struggled with the thought of not being good enough for her family because she ran a business and it “got in the way” of trying to be the best mom and wife. In both these books, she shows young adults and moms that you can be and do whatever you want, showing that you can be a bomb ass mom and wife at the same time.

These five books have shown me that I don’t have to sacrifice the things I want out of life for others, that I can be 100% myself and the right people and opportunities will find me if I just work hard and be the realist me I can be.
