Lately I’ve noticed that I am getting a black blob in my photos. My last few shoots it’s shown up here and there but nothing too noticeable. This past weekend I was taking photos with low natural light, my flash and artificial lighting. It’s not my camera strap, it’s not my fingers, it’s not my hair, I think it might be the angle in which I’m holding the camera but I’m not 100% positive. It’s starting to drive me nuts. I know that it only happens in low lighting when I am using my flash and shooting down at something but last night I was trying to get rid of it and it was really hard.
Although it was frustrating look at this cute stuff I had to experiment with. My niece is precious, happy and her little smiles and laughs melt my little heart. With her creamy skin and soft hair I could photograph her all day.
It starts out as a big shadow

Then gets a little better

Almost gone but still there….ughhh

Hi, I’m Tiff!
I’m the photographer behind Appletini Photography, a portrait studio based in Yardley, PA, serving families and businesses across Bucks County. For more than a decade, I’ve had the joy of capturing heartfelt images — from newborn photography and family portraits to professional headshots and branding photography. My goal is always the same: to create photographs that feel authentic, joyful, and worth holding onto for generations.
Over the years I’ve photographed thousands of moments for families throughout Yardley, Morrisville, and the surrounding Bucks County community, helping parents preserve the fleeting stages of childhood and the connections that make their family unique. I believe a photograph never grows up — and that the images we create today become tomorrow’s heirlooms.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m wearing one of my many hats: wife, mom, cat mom, aunt, best friend, and enthusiastic coffee drinker. I’m usually planning a themed party, crafting something creative, traveling somewhere new, getting lost in a good book, or laughing until my cheeks hurt.
Through this blog, I love sharing photography tips, local Bucks County family resources, behind-the-scenes stories from sessions, and inspiration for families preparing for portraits. I’m so glad you’re here.
That is really strange… I have no doubt you will figure it out!
No doubt about it!
