Capturing newborns gives me the privilege to meet families at the beginning of their adventure and capture the journey all the way through. Parenting is a tough job and all of those sweet little moments that we spend adoring our children is the reward.

This year we have already capture so many adorable little loves and this month I am taking a moment to pull my favorites.

There is a lot of prep that goes into thinking through a newborn session it starts with the best part – the capture. Then I move quickly to sneak peek, edit and deliver. Just like the growth of a newborn, it all happens so fast! lol. As an artist I need to get better at going back and just enjoying what I’ve captured. This month I’m studying my images and falling in love all over again. It’s such a funny craft to capture the joy of new life and I love sharing this adventure with you. It’s the best job in town.

This month we are celebrating all things newborn and the adventure that new little life takes us on. I’ve captured 100’s of babies and could not be more in love with the art of capturing newborns. It’s so inspiring to collaborate with Bucks County parents and capture a newborn session that compliments their style and celebrates their new adventure. This month we are talking about our newborn session process and the adventure we capture for you. Happy Newborn Month!

Our newborn session includes:

Easy booking process
Adorable Images, Simple Process! 5 simple steps that get you from Captured to Hung on the Wall! We know that Moms are the busiest people on the planet so we have a simple, efficient process in place to save time for everyone without compromising quality or experience. We know we are capturing milestones in your life and these images and product will last forever so we want them to be perfect!
Clean, friendly environment
You have the studio to yourself; we typically do not capture any other sessions the day of your newborn session giving us plenty of time. The studio is a clean, relaxed environment for you to chill out and enjoy this special moment. We have snacks, wi-fi, changing tables and just about anything you could think of to capture a great session. The studio is within walking distant of Main Street, Yardley and you are welcomed to bring in lunch. Have toddlers joining us? There is a small play area or you can walk them down by the canal, down Main Street Yardley or the playground that is within a mile.
Sneak peek
I want to see the images as much as you do and deliver a sneak peek within 48 hours. 8-10 watermarked images that can be shared with friends and family.
Three hour time block
Some people get really nervous when they see that the session could take 3 hours, it typically takes 2 but sometimes we run over. The baby is in charge and may be fussy, need to poop or just having a growth spurt. We take our time, smooth them to sleep and work quickly and safely to capture your images. No rushing and there is never anyone coming in behind you.
Digital files
My goal for every session is for the family to walk away with a great experience, images delivered in a timely manner, a set of 4×6 prints, a piece of wall art, digital files and a small collection posted online for sharing with friends and family. My Collections are designed to give you just that at the best value.
And, not just any products! Top quality inks and materials printed at our professional print lab. Instead of the 4 color printing you’re use to our professional lab uses 256 colors and they’re glorious! Top of the line canvas and professional grade papers make all the difference when it comes to stunning art hanging on your walls. I love working with newborns
Newborn Photography is one of a kind, a chance to create something new and fresh every time. As an artist, it is so inspiring to be given a pallet of colors and the freedom to create beautiful images that will be cherished. I like taking caring of all of the details and delivering a custom package to each client. Sometimes, I am one of the first few people to get to hold these little loves and I take the privilege very seriously. The start of a new life is one of life’s greatest joys.
Prop Closet
Our process starts with a phone call to capture the details long before the baby arrives. We are happy to include any prop, detail or idea that you have and like to get the information ahead of time so that we can prepare. Sometimes families arrive with a bag of things, sometimes large trunks that have shipped around the globe and sometimes they arrive with Great Grandma’s pearls. And sometimes they have nothing which is 100% okay because we have plenty. In the studio, we have a full closet of props, wraps, outfit and beautiful ideas to style your session.

We Capture Three Poses
The studio is a sleepy environment with a small heater, smoothing sounds and gentle movements, newborn sessions typically take 2 hours but can last a little longer if the baby is not ready to sleep. We always aim to create those sweet, sleepy poses that highlight the new life and size of the baby.

Family Portraits
Your new addition brings such joy, and we love photographing that emotion. Therefore, we take a variety of pictures with your newborn and the special people in his or her life. Feel free to include up to six people to have their picture taken. This typically includes mom, dad, big brothers, and big sisters, but can also include grandparents, favorite aunts, godparents, and cousins. If you would like to include more than six people, each additional person is $10.

Newborn Poses
For the newborn poses, we use a portrait beanbag covered with various blankets to create the perfect backdrop. Once the infant is comfortable, we position him or her into different poses, capturing adorable, close-up images. We have a wide variety of blankets, outfits, and other accessories that we use. However, feel free to include your own hats, bowties, headbands, baby blankets, toys, or jewelry. I cannot promise that we will get to use everything we have but we will certainly try!

Prop Shots
We always include one or more prop concept of our own and love to include props special to the family. Trunks, baskets, or stuffed animals, as long as they allow us to safely take the picture. For the safety of the baby, this type of image can only be created when the infant is sleeping and with the help of mom or dad spotting.

2 Milestone Sessions
Babies grow so fast in the first year and we love capturing the milestones along the way. All newborn sessions include the session fee waived for 2 milestones ($200 value) within the first year of life. Milestones Sessions capture maternity, 7 months when the baby is sitting with those big toothless grins, or 1-year celebration which includes a cake for smashing. These sessions are smaller in nature with slightly smaller packages and the session focuses on the milestone we are celebrating and includes a small set of family images.
A set of 4×6 Prints
A set of 4×6 prints are included with ALL sessions, it’s just our thing. We know digital files are all the rave right now and YES those are available in our packages and a la carte. TRUST US having tangible images that you can flip through for years to come is so important. Our goal is to help you start your child’s 1^st photo album. We know they will cherish those images as they grow. These images can be passed down from generation to generation regardless of technology changes. We all love the digital era but you need both and we’re happy to take care of it for you!
