Sorry for the posting delay…these summer days are keeping me busy 😉
A 500 hundred year old tree that survived Katrina, yes please! This was by far that largest and most glorious tree I have ever seen. 500 years….it’s hard to believe We found this tree located on the front lawn of the Southern Miss Gulf Park campus in Long Beach, Miss.
Friendship Oak Measurements
Current measurements show a 50-foot height; diameter of the trunk is 5 feet 9 inches; circumference of the trunk is 18 feet 7 inchees; spread of foliage is 156 feet. The average length of the main lateral limbs is 60-66 feet from the trunk; average circumference of the limbs at the trunk is 7 1/2 feet; the tree forms almost 16,000 feet of shelter; and laterial roots go out 150 feet.

See that abandoned building in the back of the tree, these beautiful flowers were still growing….love!

Hi, I’m Tiff!
I’m the photographer behind Appletini Photography, a portrait studio based in Yardley, PA, serving families and businesses across Bucks County. For more than a decade, I’ve had the joy of capturing heartfelt images — from newborn photography and family portraits to professional headshots and branding photography. My goal is always the same: to create photographs that feel authentic, joyful, and worth holding onto for generations.
Over the years I’ve photographed thousands of moments for families throughout Yardley, Morrisville, and the surrounding Bucks County community, helping parents preserve the fleeting stages of childhood and the connections that make their family unique. I believe a photograph never grows up — and that the images we create today become tomorrow’s heirlooms.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m wearing one of my many hats: wife, mom, cat mom, aunt, best friend, and enthusiastic coffee drinker. I’m usually planning a themed party, crafting something creative, traveling somewhere new, getting lost in a good book, or laughing until my cheeks hurt.
Through this blog, I love sharing photography tips, local Bucks County family resources, behind-the-scenes stories from sessions, and inspiration for families preparing for portraits. I’m so glad you’re here.
Great pics. That tree is amazing and its more amazing that it survived Katrina!
