When you think of Disney World I’m sure you picture  magical theme parks, the Disney characters and beautiful resorts.  All of which make it such an amazing place.  But besides these obvious attractions, there is another reason I look forward to a Disney vacation though… the many delicious and entertaining places to eat.

MMM… FOOD!!

That’s right, Disney eateries are pretty impressive.  Now don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they aren’t all 5 star worthy but I am not often disappointed with Disney restaurants.  They are usually fun, entertaining, some are themed and the food is pretty tasty.  Nine times out of ten I walk away with a smile!

I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you today.  You know, just incase you are headed there and looking for some fun options!!!

Hmm… where to eat in Disney??

My first recommendation is Chef Mickey’s!  ESPECIALLY if you have the kiddos with you!!

I love Chef Mickey’s. It’s located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  You ride the monorail right into the resort. Talk about convenient!!  It is an all-you-can-enjoy buffet and Mickey and his entire  gang come around and visit your table.  You can hug, love and get autographs from each and the food is pretty great and I’m not a big buffet fan, but apparently Mickey knows his way around the kitchen!  Seriously, he’s adorable AND can cook??  Minnie is one lucky lady!!  😉

Another place I would recommend is Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show.  AppletiniPhotography1_0126 AppletiniPhotography1_0131It is located in the Polynesian Resort, which is gorgeous and tropical.  AppletiniPhotography1_0130 AppletiniPhotography1_0127 AppletiniPhotography1_0129I really enjoyed this dinner.  I thought it was delicious.   It is also an all-you-can-enjoy buffet, served family style and beer is included.  Of course it was, I was unable to drink it 😉 !! They also have some kid options, which was nice.  The staff was sweet and service was quick.

Dinner IS outside though.  It was a little warm.  Which, doesn’t bother me too much but if it was any hotter, I’m not sure it would have been enjoyable.

Last time we were in Disney we did eat at Ohana which is also located at the Polynesian but inside.  The food is also all-you-can-enjoy and I remember it being out of this world.  They also have activities and entertainment during dinner.  So if you are looking for something inside, Ohana may be a better fit!

We had great seats to the show!  The show itself was cute, not THE best thing I’ve ever seen but the dancers, in my opinion really made it worth it. They were great! Especially the fire dancer at the end.  YES!  A FIRE DANCER.  Unfortunately I don’t have any photos of him.  I was too busy watching on the edge of my seat.  It was pretty fantastic and a wonderful way to end the show!

During the show there was an intermission and an opportunity for the kids to get involved…

AppletiniPhotography1_0122All in all, I enjoyed the entire dinner experience. I think it is definitely worth checking out… at least once!!  AppletiniPhotography1_0125

The last meal we had in Disney was at 50’s Prime Time Café.  It is in Hollywood Studio’s and I really enjoyed it!  AppletiniPhotography1_0119As soon as you walk in you are taken back in time.   The staff treat you like family and make sure you use your table manners 🙂  It is fun to step into the 50’s and have some of “mamma’s” home cooking.  If you venture here… order the pot roast.  I still dream about it! Well there you have it.  Some dining recommendations if you are ever in Mickey’s part of town.

Where is your favorite place to eat in Disney?  DO TELL!!
