Yep, that’s right… It’s my birthday! Let me start with my confession. I have celebrated my 29th birthday for the past three years now. This year is going to be different. I will not be 29, again! I’m ready to face reality. So I’ll say it… Today I am the big Three-Two. YES… 32. WOO HOO for THIRTY TWO!! I think it’s gonna be a “woo hoo” worthy year ! I don’t know why I’ve been hiding from them. Thirtys aren’t so bad. In fact, they’ve been pretty awesome. And I’m excited to see what 32 has in store! Okay, since it IS my birthday, I’m not going to spend too much time writing. But what I really wanted to share with you was, not so much that it’s my birthday, or that I’ve been riding the hell outta 29… but how my day started. It doesn’t get much sweeter. My darling

We had a co-ed bridal shower which was the first I had ever been too and it was blast. My big fat Ireland wedding kind of got in the way of Keely’s official bridal shower so we wanted to do something to celebrate. Keely is from Connecticut and has such fabulous New England style. Seriously no one can wear navy, salmon and pearls like her, I love her style so we thought a crab boil would be most appropriate. We held the shower at Craig & Tom’s amazing home and it was the perfect backdrop for our gathering. Craig was truly the hostess with the mostess and everything was just perfect. I think my favorite part of the day and I’m sure Craig would agree was setting

And, just to set the record straight this was a traditional bridal shower…just for the ladies but we did (as you can see below) have 3 amazing men with us…the groom, Papa Herm and our Man of Honor. We had the groom bring our bride and stay to play The Newlywed Game…and eat. We gave Melissa and Tom each a Mad Hatter picture if the answer was Tom and a Queen of Hearts if the answer was Melissa. Heather then asked a bunch of funny question like “Who does the dishes?” and “Who does your cat {Sonnnn} love more?” It was a lot of fun. We also made game boards for the guest to play along and predict the answers, of course

I had a few people tell me at the shower that they never attend showers but after getting this invitation they couldn’t miss it, that is exactly what I was going for and the best compliment a girl could get! Our theme was “A Picture Perfect Bridal Shower” and I am a firm believer that the invitation sets off any party so below is what I created. I found some ideas online and created the “film” in Photoshop, printed and stuffed it into the film canisters. It was pretty awesome. The film canisters were purchased empty, we added a custom label and filled them up. They were a lot of fun to pull out of their canisters. Don’t worry I’ll be back all of details and projects that
