I know, I know, Christmas is over but I did this cute dessert for one of my family parties and thought I would share. These cake pops can really be used for any occasion. I came across this idea over at Hostess with the Mostess. I have been reading and drawing inspiration from this blog for years, it really takes party planning to the next level!
My cake pops didn’t turn out as pretty as Hostess with the Mostess but I was slightly rushed and they tasted so good it really didn’t matter. Check out her site for the full instructions.
First, you bake a cake…or two and mash it up in a bowl
Next you mix in icing and mash it all up.
Wondering what those things are in the background? Oh that’s just my cat’s Christmas outfits that I use to decorate the vases when she’s not wearing them. She really loves it when I dress her up…LOL

Then you form the cake into balls and let it sit in the fidge to harden a bit.

After the balls have harden (mind out of the gutter) you add a stick, dip them in chocolate and because it was Christmas I sprinkled candy cane pieces on top. I LOVE all things peppermint so this was the best part for me.

Let them dry and eat!

Hi, I’m Tiff!
I’m the photographer behind Appletini Photography, a portrait studio based in Yardley, PA, serving families and businesses across Bucks County. For more than a decade, I’ve had the joy of capturing heartfelt images — from newborn photography and family portraits to professional headshots and branding photography. My goal is always the same: to create photographs that feel authentic, joyful, and worth holding onto for generations.
Over the years I’ve photographed thousands of moments for families throughout Yardley, Morrisville, and the surrounding Bucks County community, helping parents preserve the fleeting stages of childhood and the connections that make their family unique. I believe a photograph never grows up — and that the images we create today become tomorrow’s heirlooms.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m wearing one of my many hats: wife, mom, cat mom, aunt, best friend, and enthusiastic coffee drinker. I’m usually planning a themed party, crafting something creative, traveling somewhere new, getting lost in a good book, or laughing until my cheeks hurt.
Through this blog, I love sharing photography tips, local Bucks County family resources, behind-the-scenes stories from sessions, and inspiration for families preparing for portraits. I’m so glad you’re here.
I had no idea you made these… but it’s probably better that way… I coulda ate them all. Cant wait to try these!
I forgot all about them girl…lol
They were delicious!
