If I owe you an email, phone call, Facebook message, text message, instagram response…today is catch up day!! Please stand by…
Hello Chaps! Did you miss me? Last week David and I spent a lovely week in England. David was there on business and I had the opportunity to tag along and take a “holiday”. We stayed in the lovely little town of Altrincham with cute little neighboring towns of Hale and Bowdon. We got to spend one quick blur of a day in London but it was enough to wave at the Queen, catch Big Ben it all its glory, see the outside of Westminster Abby and ride the London Eye!!
Today is just a sneak peek but hopefully I will be able to edit these 1000+ images one day real soon!
Thanks so much Heather for holding it down last week! I loved the Mickey Mouse Birthday Party reveal, the Father’s Day Card ideas and the FREE-breeze!
First image I took of the trip. I woke up on the airplane lifted my shade and saw this little piece of heaven 😉
This is how you start your holiday!!!
This kind of beauty is all over England!
Lovely little walk through town…
…and this happened. Can’t wait to look up the meaning of this…
I had to take a soup picture! During my stay in Ireland last year, I ate soup at every meal. The UK had some really delicious soup but Ireland still ranks as first place in my book!
Because it rains so frequently the colors are just stunning!
Sunset over Manchester! We were waiting for our tram back to Altrincham when I saw this.
Selfie! I can’t really hand over my camera to someone and ask for a picture so Dave and I try to use the self timer when ever we have a chance!
Here comes the Queen! This is about all we saw of that! hahahahaha
LOVED LOVED LOVED this little village of art work! I bought photographs and original painting that I cannot wait to frame and hang!
You would never believe (unless you live in London) that is was DOWN POURING about 10 minutes before I shot these images.
See that in the background….The Eye!
There are so many amazing views in London.
The universe is always talking to us…we just have to listen!!
The ride on The Eye was well worth the cost and absolutely amazing. You are in a car with 10-12 other people and it takes about 20 minutes to go the way around, you go around just once. You are moving really slow so you can take in all the beauty.
I don’t use my fish eye lens much but I bought it for times like this…
Buckingham Place. Unfortunately the Queen was not available for tea but her gates and guards were grand!
This week I will be back to my normal pace, 5 shoots, lots of editing, some blogging and lots of catch up! Talley Oh Dears it was a lovey trip but Dorothy was right, there is no place like home!!
Love it!!! Can’t wait to see it myself 🙂
so beautiful! maybe someday I’ll get to see it too. can’t wait for sunday! glad you’re back safe and had fun!
What a great trip! I felt the same way with seeing London in one day and the town you stayed in looks adorable!! Love that English countryside!!
So glad you both get to and choose to adventure and see things outside of our norm! It really helps put things into perspective being away from home and discovering new places, cultures and things!
You mentioned looking up the swan. Should you choose to view the swan as a spirit guide or totem I feel you would gain great strength! I find them to be elegant and graceful and mostly mate for life in monogamous relationships 🙂
Welcome HomeSki!
Tiff!! Welcome back Mate!! Wasn’t the same without you last week. You were missed.
Looks like you had a wonderful holiday! Can’t wait to see the rest of your gorgeous images. It looks so lovely.
Sorry you missed tea with the Queen! Next time! 😉
David is my colleague so I work in Altrincham and live in the area. I cannot believe how beautiful you have made our little part of the world look. These images are stunning and I’m so glad you both enjoyed your busy day in London. The Dunham Massey shots are gorgeous (deer and swan pictures).
Hi Toni!
Thank you so much! Your suggestion to go to Dunham Massey was perfect, I absolutely loved shooting there and had a lovely time exploring. Your little corner of the world is beautiful and I enjoyed my holiday!
Tiff
