You know that part in Pretty Woman when Edward snaps the jewelry box on Vivien’s hand, then they laugh and fly up the coast to that fabulous opera?!?!? Ugh, I just love that part and pretty much every romantic comedy that came out in my 20’s. I took an extra week off to rest – no plans, and no lists. Just rest. It was divine. I had movie binge days, stayed in bed cuddled with a book days and spend some days at my white board working out new ideas. Rest is so important and something that I only seems to be good at in the cold Bucks County months when I’m trapped in the house.
My fall season was off the charts! And that’s an understatement. By December 11th, I had captured 57 sessions in the last 60 days. I am humbled and honored to serve that many families this past fall. We captured so many beautiful sessions, a couple of weddings and snuggled many sweet little babies. The fall color in Bucks County did not disappoint and 2017 will go down on the record books for her beauty, warm temperatures and dry-ish Saturdays.
I am back for 2018 and could not be more excited for the year ahead! Happy New Years, Pals! We have new lists, lots of newborns, a new wall art type, and so many new tweaks that we’ll be sending out over the next few weeks.
Guess What?!?!??!?!? Prices are going down!! Our vendors have lower some prices on Canvas Wraps and Boutique Frames and we are passing that right along! Also – we found a new groove at Christmas that will help us serve more clients at a lower price point. One things for sure, clients love the Capture, Edit, Deliver flow so we are working out details on how we can schedule more of those events.
We’re also looking for studio space (ahhh, it makes me nervous to write that) but it’s true and we are hoping to open this March in Yardley, PA. Time to expand a little in Bucks County! As many of you know I have been working on adoption for some time and I am hell bend on making it happen in 2018. Moving the business to a dedicated location will hopefully open up the space in my home for children.
2017 was incredible for Tina and me. As we reflect on all of the amazing families we were able to serve, we’re so thankful for every moment captured and the connections that we made. Gosh, Bucks County has some of the best people and I have the images to prove it! What a blessing to create memories for you. It really is the world’s best job. It takes a lot of heart and soul, but it’s worth every ounce. By my best guesstimate we have over 160 new pieces of art work hung this year! WOOT, WOOT!
Thank you for all the love and support of our small business. I really could not be more thankful for my clients and all my little pals. This week I’m taking a look back at my 2017 favorite images from each session type, starting with Newborns. Enjoy!
