Halloween Costumes | Appletini Photography

Did you completely forget that Halloween is this weekend? Yea me too.

If you are a mom searching for a last-minute Halloween costume for your kid/kids, then this is the blog post for you. I came up with a list of costumes that can be made from stuff that you may already have in your home.

First up we have a scarecrow, this is super easy and inexpensive. For this you are going to need jeans, a flannel and a handful of straw to give the costume that final touch. If you have any face paint or makeup you can do some scarecrow, make up and bam! You have yourself a little scare crow.

Another easy yet creative Halloween costume is to have your kid be a cereal killer. For this you use all your empty cereal boxes, tape them together to make one big box that your child can fit in, once it is in a box shape you can then stick plastic knives in it to give it that “cereal killer” vibe. Super easy but so creative!

The last costume idea I have for you is to make your kid into a bag of jelly beans. Sounds crazy I know but it’s so easy and I am going to tell you how to do it. First you need a clear trash bag and a baggie of colorful water balloons. First cut two holds for your child’s legs in the bottom of the trash bag and have them step into it. Now, with the water balloons start blowing them up with air and sticking them into the trash bag. After you fill the bag with the balloons it will start to look like a bag of jelly beans. You can tie the top of the bag off with a necklace for the child. Out of all three of these this is my personal fav because my mom had me dress up as this one year, throwback to 2007.

I hope this was helpful, have a great Halloween and be safe!
